Interview for a Narrative
Timing:

Driving Question:
How can we as authors share a moment that defined who we are?
Project Description:
Throughout the project the students will learn about interview skills and use the information gathered to write a narrative piece. This project includes 3 pieces of narrative writing (student to student, student to family, students to self).
Final Product(s):
The students will showcase their work to parents and classmates during an open house. They will have their writing available for guest to read. In addition, reflection questions will be shared with guests to help the writer showcase their growth.

W.2.C. Narrative/Literary
Write fiction or nonfiction narratives and poems that:
a. establish a setting, situation/topic and introduce a narrator and/or characters
b. use narrative techniques, such as dialogue, motivation, and descriptions
c. organize an event sequence that unfolds naturally to establish a beginning/middle/ end
d. use a variety of transitions to manage the sequence of events
e. use specific, relevant, and accurate words that are suited to the topic, audience, and purpose
