Project Description:

Students will design a structure based on client needs that would sustain a specific natural disaster.

Final Product(s):

Students will share models, blueprints, and action plans with clients, classmates, and school audience through presentations and viewings.

Essential Standards:

-Reading- Fiction: R.2A, Reading- Vocabulary: R.1.B

-Science- Earth and Human Activity:ESS3-A1, Science- Engineering Design: ETS1-A1, ETS1-B1

Potential Community Outreach:

Meteorologist (Contact KCTV5), Engineer or Architect, real or fake clients that have experienced natural disasters.

Teacher Reflection:

*Make sure someone on your team understands Flipgrid and is somewhat “techy.”

*Students need to understand Google Slides before this project.
