Project Description:

Students learn about the benefits of reading "mirror" and "window" books and share their findings and experiences with the public at a district-wide Diversity Festival.

Final Product(s):

  • Individual video presentation sharing their experiences with reading a "window" book and the importance of reading diverse literature
  • SOAPSTone Analysis of TED Talks about topic
  • Class collaboration to create two booths & the necessary materials and resources to educate the public
