Project Description:

Students will read “The Tell Tale Heart” by Edgar Allan Poe and various short stories within the horror genre, focusing on the author's craft and story elements. .They will collaborate through the writing process, studying published author’s (well-known and student), and revising their own narratives. This will lead to a piece of writing that will be submitted to the Scholastic Art and Writing contest, in January.

Draw conclusions, infer and analyze by citing the textual evidence that most strongly supports an analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text
